ANNIHILATION Word Count: 42,162
This is the part I love best about writing, bringing the story to life. When I write my rough draft I only write the basic dialogue and main plot points. When I go back, I get to fill in all the details that make me love the characters, that make them who they are. The strange thing is, that with all of my books, when I go back and fill in all the details I always end up adding what turns out to be the most important things, characters, events. I don’t know why that is, but when I look back that’s what has happened.
